The National Day of China

                                     The National Day of China

The term "National Day" refers to the national celebration. First seen in the Western Jin Dynasty. In the article "The Fifth-Class Princes", the Western Jin Dynasty's writer Lu Ji once recorded the "National Day's singularity, the main worry and its harm". In the feudal era of China, the great events of the country's celebrations were more than the emperor's ascension and birthday (the Qing Dynasty called the emperor's birthday is a long live), so in ancient China, the emperor's ascension and birthday were called "National Day". Today, the anniversary of the establishment of the country is National Day. October 1, 1949, is the anniversary of the founding of New China.

[1] In many people's impressions, on October 1, 1949, the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China, attended by hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians, was held in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. In fact, this impression in people's minds is not accurate. Because the ceremony held on October 1st, 1949 in Tiananmen Square was the grand ceremony of the founding of the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China, not the founding ceremony. In fact, the "opening up" of the People's Republic of China, that is to say the establishment of the People's Republic of China, was announced as early as October 1 of the same year. At that time, it was not called the "Foundation Ceremony", but it was called the "Foundation Ceremony." The time was September 21, 1949. On this day, Mao Zedong, director of the preparatory meeting of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, announced the birth of New China in the opening speech of the first session of the CPPCC.

There will be celebrations and military parades of different scales on the 5th and 10th anniversary. The six major military parade in the history of the founding ceremony, the 5th anniversary, the 10th anniversary, the 35th anniversary, the 50th anniversary and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. .

Since the founding of the 1949 Grand Prix, a total of fourteen National Day military parades have been held.

From the period 1949 to 1959, 11 National Day military parades were held.

In September 1960, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council implemented the policy of "strive to save and diligently build the country", reform the National Day ceremony system, and implement "five years, a small celebration, a ten-year celebration, and a military parade in Daqing."

In 1964, the Military Queue Order issued by the Ministry of National Defense listed the military parade clause for the first time. Subsequently, due to the "Cultural Revolution" and other reasons, the National Day military parade was not held for 24 consecutive years.

In 1984, according to Deng Xiaoping’s proposal, the CPC Central Committee decided to resume the military parade and held a large National Day military parade on the 35th anniversary of the National Day in 1984.

In 1999, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to hold a military parade for the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. On October 1, 1999, a large military parade was held in Tiananmen Square.

In the National Day of 2009, the military parade was held for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic
